Daily DeviationOrigin by *drawcaliber "is mind blowing to every degree. He posesses incredible technical skill, fantastic vision, an incredible eye for colour and that rare skill that can really make things stand out of the crowd. Detail, skill and sych attention. I love this piece so much, it's incredible, I really hope you read this, and if you don't feature this then please just look at it. I think that this piece captures everything a good vector should have, attention, life and fantastic, unadulterated verve. I just love it! I think this guy needs a little more attention then he has." "i am a kunoichi!!"
:aww: I know you've already had this said to you, but this is absoulutely incredible. Out of all the pieces in this gallery this is surely your best, I haven't seen anything like it in a long time, and it's really kicked off my year!

The detail you've poured into this was the first thing that hit me when I looked at it. Getting the scope of this is only possible in full view, and it's absolutely mind-blowing, it's even slightly hard to grasp, you've created a fantastic background of circles, but then you've gone further and made this huge explosion of shape. What's really inpressive is the illusion of depth you have created, maybe it springs from all of those different layers, but you can really see depth, on the curves of the spheres and inside the explosion.

The second most impressive thing was the colour range, you've really got that spot on, the colours are in a way muted, but they're used in an effect that really brings them out in their full glory, your choice of gradient is als a very good one, as the smaller white explosion underneath the centre-piece fits well into that colour. If it had been next to the top colour, it would have lost all it's effect. Instead it burst out, and really becomes noticeable.
I also love the little wreaths of black inside the centrepiece, they look really stark against the golds and the beiges, and the shape and texture of them remphasises that. They help keep the piece lively and interesting but don't look like they've been cobbled together to do so, but more like they were really made for there.

Last but not least, the technique. Dude, wow! I have never seen an abstract piece with such a firm grip on technique. The reflections on the spheres, the use of line, the glowing spheres (which is particularly impressive) and the opacity all look resplendent in their use. I could go on typing about how great this piece is all day, but I won't.

I can find barely anyhing wrong with it, apart from a few little things that look out of place.

First off, there's just one little line of shapes which really lookjs out of place. Though it doesn't spoil the picture at all it would definitely look better without it. Just at the north east of the main explosion theres a brown semi-circle, and a brown line coming out of it. This kinda spoils the composition, by cutting off the white line next to it. Think you could bin that?

Two very small things, which could be quickly taken out, just the furthest reaches of the explosion. Near the top right, a little brown dot, it spoils the composition a little, it makes it fell contained.
Also down on the bottom left, there's a faint splodge of brown. It has sthe same effect.

:excited: Fantastic work. I never say this but: Masterpiece. You are featured in my latest journal.
 And I also like the concept. It looks to me like a glamourised big bang, a huge glitzy creation, maybe glitzy's not the word, maybe glorious. Which makes you think, all of this, explosions, light, dark, such amazing things, for a spider? Your depiction of creation is really intriguing, and is left open for interpretation.

I guess it makes you think how much the small animals are really worth in this world.
